I can understand why people are nervous about having surgery on their feet….
I served in the Armed Forces for over 10 years, and if there is one area of health the Army were keen to promote it was a good foot health regimen.
Covering a lot of miles and carrying 30-50 Ibs of additional equipment, if you didn’t look after your feet, eventually they would let you down.
I suppose it’s because they are usually so damn reliable that it’s so easy to take them for granted. Rest assured, should the day come when there is a problem, the vast majority of us would sit up and realise just how important and fundamental our feet are to our live’s.
As the owner of this site, I wanted to take some time and investigate common and not so common foot problems. The facts about having surgery ( if necessary ), what’s involved if surgery is necessary and generally clear up common misconceptions and untruths that proliferate across the web.
I cant think of a better mechanism or forum to discuss these topics and having exclusive access to surgical professionals gives me the chance to ask the sort of questions you would like to ask a foot surgeon if one lived next door…lol
If you would like me to present a question to Andy or Jonathan on our next foothut podcast then contact me using the contact page above.
